COMPARISON
ATOMIC BOOKING vs
CALENDLY.
Calendly built a great product. We respect that. But Calendly is American, hosted on AWS, charges in USD, and routes every booking through Stripe. If you want your customer data in the UK or EU and your money out of US payment rails, the table below tells the story.

THE STRUCTURAL ARGUMENT
WHY THE PRICE DIFFERENCE EXISTS.
Calendly's $12/month covers their software, their AWS bill, their salaries, and Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ on every paid booking. We charge £5/month because we don't pay Stripe's 2.9%. Mollie and GoCardless cost a fraction of that on EU payment rails.
| Payment method | Fee on £100 | Net to merchant |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe (most US schedulers) | £3.10 | £96.90 |
| Mollie iDEAL / Bancontact | £0.29 | £99.71 |
| Wero (via Mollie) | £0.25–0.40 | £99.65+ |
| SEPA Direct Debit (GoCardless) | 1% capped at £4 | £99.00 |
That ~3% gap on every paid booking is the structural saving we pass on. Software margin doesn't depend on cutting features — it depends on cutting card-processor rent.
HONEST TAKE
When Calendly is the better choice.
We're not the right answer for everyone. Calendly is the better choice if:
- →You're a US company that doesn't care about EU/UK data sovereignty
- →You need deep Salesforce or HubSpot integration today
- →You need it live in the next two weeks (we launch Q3 2026)
For everyone else — solo professionals, EU/UK teams, agencies, and anyone who's quietly uncomfortable with American SaaS — keep reading.
